Lovely Layers was born from a dream that has been close to my heart for more than 15 years.
I am Aiswariya K, the founder of Lovely Layers. This journey is deeply inspired by my mother, C. R. Panchali, whose experience in the saree business shaped the way I understand fabrics, designs, customers and, most importantly, trust.
From my mother’s experience to my own dream
Growing up, I had the opportunity to closely observe her work. Long before online shopping and ecommerce became part of everyday life, she built meaningful relationships with customers through something much simpler and more powerful — understanding what they truly wanted.
I watched her carefully select sarees based on a customer’s preferences, occasion, design, fabric, comfort, quality and budget. She understood that choosing a saree is not simply about buying a piece of clothing. It is about finding something that feels right for the person wearing it.
Those experiences became my first lessons in this business.
During the 1990s, there were no online marketplaces, social media stores or ecommerce platforms to make the process easier. Yet, my mother’s dedication to customer satisfaction and her ability to identify good products left a lasting impression on me.
I learned to look at a saree from the customer’s point of view:
How does the design feel?
Is the fabric comfortable?
Does the colour and pattern suit the occasion?
How does the saree look when worn?
Is the quality appropriate for its price?
Would I genuinely recommend this to someone I know?
These simple questions have stayed with me throughout the years.
For more than 15 years, I carried the thought of starting something of my own — a platform where I could bring together sarees that I would personally feel comfortable recommending to customers.
Eventually, technology gave me the opportunity to turn that long-held dream into reality. And that is how Lovely Layers began.
More than a saree store
Lovely Layers is my attempt to bring the experience I learned from my mother into today’s digital world.
Instead of simply listing as many products as possible, I want Lovely Layers to become a carefully curated destination for sarees.
I spend considerable time researching fabrics, designs, colours, patterns, workmanship and collections from different parts of India, while exploring opportunities to discover distinctive products from beyond India as well.

That question guides the way I look at products.

I am building this brand with the values I learned from my family, the experience I have gathered over the years, and the possibilities that technology gives us today.
